Festival of Lights
11:46 PM"racing against time, trying to beat the odds, while trying to keep a sense of dignity drive me crazy..." My friend Bente agrees with me on this. We talked about this yesterday. Last night, while I was walking Ayala Ave. from Paseo Center (where LC and I ate at Persia Grill), I saved this in my phone's draft messages. I only got to send this today.
Anyway...
I went to a Deepawali "Diwali" Festival at Swagat Indian Cuisine with a friend. The meal was divine! I particularly liked the Murgh Badami (tender chicken cooked with almonds and spices) I rolled in warm roti. And the dessert, Gulab Jamon, was simple gorgeous. Of course you would understand that these were cheeseballs dipped in syrup. I love cheese.
Diwali starts tomorrow, November 8. It is said to be a festival that marks the victory of good over evil, the homecoming of goodwill and faith after an absence, as suggested by the story of Ramayana. I am sounding too geeky.
Visit Swagat at FCC Building, Rada St., Legaspi Village, Makati City.
